RC-1: How to Change Recording Mode / Stop Mode / Display Mode
1. While holding down the stompbox pedal switch, turn the pedal power ON ( by inserting a 1/4" TS mono unbalanced male guitar/instrument cable, into
the OUTPUT A jack). Once cable has been inserted and pedal has powered ON, let go of the pedal switch.
The LOOP indicator display, should show a half circle, top or bottom (RED) LED lights, indicating the current Recording Mode. Note: Top half circle LEDs are the default setting.
2. While in Recording Mode Selection: Press the pedal switch successively twice/double click (within one second) to change the Recording Mode.
The default Recording Mode is (Upper display circle RED LED lights = Record > Overdub > Play).
Non-default Recording Mode is (Lower display circle RED LED lights = Record > Play > Overdub).
Note: The latter non-default Recording Mode is generally preferred by most RC-1 users.
3. Once the chosen Recording Mode is chosen, switch to the Stop Mode selection, press the pedal switch once. The LOOP indicator display, should show a half circle, top or bottom GREEN LED lights, indicating the current Stop Mode. Most likely leave this set to default, top half circle GREEN LED lights.
- The default Stop Mode is (Upper display circle GREEN LED lights = Double press or tap to STOP loop immediately).
- The non-default Stop Mode is (Lower display circle GREEN LED lights = Double press or tap to STOP and loop will stop once it's completed playback to end of the loop and then the loop is erased).
- Note: The default Recording Mode is generally preferred by most RC-1 users.
4. Once the Stop Mode is chosen, switch to the Display Mode selection, press the pedal switch once. The LOOP indicator display, should show a half circle, top or bottom GREEN+RED LED lights, indicating the current Display Mode.
- The default Display Mode is (Upper display circle GREEN+RED LED lights = The rotational speed of the LOOP indicator changes according to the length of the recorded phrase.
- The non-default Display Mode is (Lower display circle GREEN+RED LED lights = The LOOP indicator rotates rapidly; then the playback location blinks.
- Note: The default Display Mode is generally preferred by most RC-1 users.
5. Once all Mode selection has been completed, you can circle around and switch between modes by single pressing the pedal, once all is visually confirmed, remember to disconnect or unplug the guitar cable from the OUTPUT A jack to power OFF and this will set the Mode settings. Power back ON and continue normal performance usage of the RC-1, happy looping!

-UPPER HALF RED LIT (default): Switch in the order of - recording > overdubbing > playback.
-LOWER HALF RED LIT: Switch in the order of - recording > playback overdub
AVAILABLE STOP MODES:
-UPPER HALF GREEN LIT (default): Press the pedal switch successively twice to stop immediately.
-LOWER HALF GREEN LIT: Press the pedal switch successively twice to enable stopping at the end of the phrase; playback stops when the phrase has played to its end. When playback stops, the phrase is erased.
How operation works when STOP has been enabled:
• The LOOP indicator (green) rotates while blinking.
• Press the pedal switch successively twice to stop immediately and erase the phrase.
• Hold down the pedal switch for two seconds.
