Creating loops in a computer-based DAW recording program is a very powerful way to incorporate custom content into your RC-505. The following steps detail how this is done:
- Begin this process with the RC-505's USB cable DIS-CONNECTED.
- Export an audio loop from your recording program as a stereo 16 bit, 44.1khz wave file.
- On the RC-505 Press: SYSTEM.
- Press the Right Arrow button until you get to the screen that says: Sys:USB Mode.
- Turn the MEMORY/VALUE knob set USB mode to: STORAGE.
- Connect the RC-505 to your computer and install it's driver.
- Go to the drive icon for the RC-505 that you will see in the Finder, or My Computer, depending on the type of computer you are using.
- Open the ROLAND > WAVE > folder and choose the folder of the Phrase number or Track that you want to copy the loop into.
- Drag the loop into the folder from the location where you exported it out of your program.
