Occasionally it can be useful to assign a momentary loop activation function to one of the ES-8's eight Loop switches while the ES-8 is in MEMORY Mode. This allows you to quickly access one or more specific pedals without having to first go into MANUAL Mode.
To do this:
- Press EDIT.
- Press the Page Left/Right buttons to get to the CTL/EXP category.
- Press ENTER.
- Press Page Left/Right to get to the ASSIGN number you want to use (1 thru 12).
- Press ENTER.
- Press + to turn the Assign’s On/Off switch (SW) to ON.
- Press Page Right to get to the Assign Source setting (SRC).
- Press -/+ to choose the Assign source: CNum.
- Press Page right to choose: Momentary Mode (MOM).
- Press Page right to get to the Category parameter (Cate).
- Press -/+ to choose Category type: LOOP.
- Press Page right to get to the Target parameter.
- Press -/+ to choose Loop for Momentary activation while in MEMORY Mode.
