Here are the steps:
- Using a MIDI cable, connect the MIDI Out jack of your ES-8 to the MIDI In jack of a MIDI Interface, or Audio Interface with a MIDI port on-board.
- Open up a DAW application (Audio/MIDI Recording program) create a MIDI track and set it up to record SYSEX messages.
- On the ES-8, press EDIT.
- Using the Right arrow button, select the Utility Menu.
- Press ENTER.
- Using the Right arrow button, select Bulk Dump.
- Press ENTER.
- Choose the range of settings and presets that you wish to backup.
- Start recording in your DAW.
- Press the ENTER button on the ES-8. "EXECUTING" flashes in the ES-8’s display.
- Continue recording in the DAW until the ES-8 returns to the normal Bulk Dump screen.
