Exporting to a Computer
Now that the tracks have been mastered (mixed) to "TR78-VST", these tracks can be exported to a computer as a stereo audio file. The BR Wav Converter software is needed in order to accomplish this. The software can be downloaded from: BOSS - BR-800 | Digital Recorder
After downloading the software:
- Connect a USB cable between the computer and the BR-800.
- On the BR-800, press the MENU button.
- Cursor to "USB," and then press ENTER.
- Cursor to "WAV CONVERTER," and then press ENTER twice and then wait for 30 seconds before moving to step 5--this give the BR-800 time to communicate with the computer.
- After 30 seconds, launch the BR WAV converter software by double clicking the "BRWC" icon from the software that was downloaded on the computer.
This can be found by double-clicking on the downloaded BRWC310.zip file, then double-clicking on the "BRWC310" folder, and then double-clicking on the BRWC.exe file to open the BR WAV converter software. - Once the BR WAV converter program is open, click on the down arrow in the Drive menu and then select the BR-800 drive.
Note: If an incorrect drive letter is selected, an error message will appear. Just keep selecting a different drive letter until a song name appears in the Song section beneath Drive. - Select the song you wish to work with from the Song menu. This will be the song that was mastered (mixed) from the steps in the "Mastering (Mixing Down)" earlier.
Note: Green squares appear on a grid that shows the Tracks in the song.
The horizontal columns—from left to right—represent the Tracks:
The vertical columns—from top to bottom—represent the V.Tracks (or Virtual Tracks): - Click on Tracks 7 and 8, virtual track 8 so that they change to orange
Note that these are the exact same tracks as "TR78-VMST" from the "Mastering (Mixing Down)" section above.
In other words, Tracks 7/8 Virtual Track 8 are identical to "TR78-VMST". - Click on the L/R button for tracks 7/8 until it turns green--to link them together so that the exported audio file will be stereo.
