The following procedure will guide through setting up and recording an external stereo instrument or audio device in MTR mode.
-
Connect the left and right outputs of the instrument/device into the stereo LINE IN jack on the side panel of the BR-80. The LINE IN jack is a stereo 1/8" jack.
Note: This may require an adapter cable (such a "Y" adapter cable with dual mono 1/4" to a single stereo 1/8"--if the outputs of the stereo instrument/device are 1/4").
- Turn up the volume of the external instrument/device.
- Press the BR-80's power button until MTR is selected.
- Turn the REC LEVEL on the side of the BR-80 all the way down (to the left) to turn off the internal mics.
- Press a track button repeatedly to select a stereo track to use for recording such as TR1/2, TR3/4, TR5/6 or TR7/8.
- On the BR-80, press the REC button and then press PLAY to begin recording.
- Now begin playing the external instrument or device.
- Press STOP on the BR-80 to end recording.
