ES-8: Turn Loops On And Off From An External MIDI Controller

It's sometimes useful to be able to control the Loop On/Off functionality of the ES-8 from an external MIDI controller.

Here's the process:

1. Press EDIT.
2. Press the Page Left/Right buttons to get to the CTL/EXP category.
3. Press ENTER.
4. Press Page Left/Right to get to the ASSIGN number you want to use (1 thru 12).
5. Press ENTER.
6. Press Page Left/Right to move the cursor under "SW" (SWITCH).
7. Press + to turn the Assign’s On/Off switch (SW) to ON.
8. Press Page Right to get to the Assign Source setting (SRC).
9. Press -/+ to choose the Assign source: CC 1 - 127.
10. Press Page Right to get to the MODE setting (MOD).
11. Press -/+ to choose MODE type: Toggle (TGL).
12. Press Page right to get to the Category parameter (Cate).
13. Press -/+ to choose Category type: LOOP.
14. Press Page right to get to the Target parameter.
15. Press -/+ to choose which Loop will be activated / deactivated by the Assignment.
