To achieve a tone that's based on a specific pedal order, you can re-arrange the order of the pedal loops on the ES-8 without having to physically re-patch pedals.
To do this:
1. Press DISPLAY/EDIT twice.
2. Press Left/Right arrow keys to position cursor under the loop that you wish to move.
3. Press -/+ enough times to move the Loop to the desired position.
