CABLING SETUP:
- Connect the 1/4" TRS cable from your Expression pedal to either of the two CTL/EXP IN jacks.
- Connect a MIDI cable from the ES-8's MIDI out jack to the MIDI input of the device you wish to control.
ES-8 SETUP STEPS:
- Press EDIT.
- Press the Page Left/Right buttons to get to the CTL/EXP category.
- Press ENTER.
- Page Left/Right to the ASSIGN number you want to use (1 thru 12).
- Press ENTER.
- Press + to turn the Assign’s On/Off switch to ON.
- Page to the Assign Source setting (Src).
- Press -/+ to get to the Assign source: EXP1, EXP2.
- Press Page right to get to the Category parameter (Cate).
- Press -/+ to choose the Assign’s Category type: MIDI.
- Press Page right to choose the MIDI channel.
- Press -/+ to select desired channel (1 to 16).
- Press Page right to choose the MIDI CC message.
- Press -/+ to select desired CC number (1 to 127).
- Press Page right to configure Min/Max Range page.
- Press -/+ to select desired Min/Max values (Typically 0 and 127).
- Press Page right to configure Active Range page.
- Press -/+ to select desired Min/Max values (Typically 0 and 127).
- Configure any Control/Expression assignments necessary on the receiving device.
