Note: Restart your computer if prompted. - Connect a standard USB cable from the USB COMPUTER port of the A-49 to your computer.
Note: Use a USB cable that supports data transfer (not a charge-only cable). Connecting the A-49 directly to a USB port on your computer rather than through a USB hub is recommended. - Confirm the driver is installed correctly:
- Windows: Open Device Manager and confirm the A-49 appears under "Sound, video, and game controllers."
- Mac: Open Audio MIDI Setup and confirm the A-49 appears in the MIDI Studio window.
- Enable the A-49 in your music software's preferences (refer to your software's documentation).
Note: If the A-49 does not power on after installing the driver on macOS (Big Sur through Sequoia), the unit may not be recognized until a MIDI application or the Audio MIDI Setup utility is launched.
