The following article troubleshoots in the event that a "Not a BR Series Memory Card" message appears when using the BR WAV Converter software.
- This is usually caused by accidentally selecting the wrong drive in the "Drive" section in the BR WAV Converter software. Be sure to select each drive in the "Drive" dropdown until the correct one is selected.
- Be sure that the BR-800 is put into USB-->WAV CONVERTER mode prior to opening the BR WAV Converter software.
- Check that the BR-800 is running at version 1.10: BOSS - BR-800 | Digital Recorder
(The version number appears on the screen when the BR-800 is powering on).

Be sure to log on as a user with administrative privileges on your computer.

Close/turn off system monitoring/anti-virus software. If system monitoring software such as anti-virus programs are installed on your computer, close them while troubleshooting.

Connect directly to your computer via USB. Do not connect to a USB hub while troubleshooting.

Be sure that you are connecting to a USB 2.0 port on your computer; or a USB 3.0 port with backwards compatibility. Check the USB 3.0 specifications of your computer to determine if there is complete support for USB backwards compatibility.

Be sure that the latest version of BR WAV Converter software is being used: BOSS - BR-800 | Digital Recorder
- Try different USB ports on the computer and/or a different USB cable.
