MICRO BR BR-80: Exporting LIVE REC Recordings to a Computer

The following article will guide you through the steps to get recordings in LIVE REC mode onto a computer.

The BR-80's USB mode will first need to be set to STORAGE:

1. Press the MENU button.
2. Cursor to "Function" and then press ENTER.
3. Cursor to "USB" and then press ENTER.
4. Use the dial to specify "STORAGE" and then press ENTER. A message will appear: "Please restart to change the USB mode."
5. Press ENTER.
6. Power off the BR-80 and then turn the power back on.

Exporting Recordings to a Computer:

1. Connect the BR-80 to the computer via USB. A window will appear showing the contents of the BR-80's memory.
2. Open the ROLAND folder and then open the LIVEREC folder. The recordings will appear on the screen as audio files.
3. Drag the file(s) from the LIVEREC folder to a desired location on your computer (such as the Desktop).
4. Stop the connection between the BR-80 and the computer:
   • Windows Users
     From the Windows Start menu, click on “Computer.” Right-click the “BOSS_BR-80” icon (or the “Removable disk (*:)” icon), and then click on “Eject.”
   • Mac OS Users
     Drag the “BR-80” icon to the “Eject” (or "Trash") icon.
5. Disconnect the USB cable from the BR-80.
