The following article will guide you through the steps to get recordings in LIVE REC mode onto a computer.
The BR-80's USB mode will first need to be set to STORAGE:
- Press the MENU button.
- Cursor to "Function" and then press ENTER.
- Cursor to "USB" and then press ENTER.
- Use the dial to specify "STORAGE" and then press ENTER. A message will appear: "Please restart to change the USB mode."
- Press ENTER.
- Power off the BR-80 and then turn the power back on.
Exporting Recordings to a Computer:
- Connect the BR-80 to the computer via USB. A window will appear showing the contents of the BR-80's memory.
- Open the ROLAND folder and then open the LIVEREC folder. The recordings will appear on the screen as audio files.
- Drag the file(s) from the LIVEREC folder to a desired location on your computer (such as the Desktop).
- Stop the connection between the BR-80 and the computer:
- Windows Users
From the Windows Start menu, click on “Computer.” Right-click the “BOSS_BR-80” icon (or the “Removable disk (*:)” icon), and then click on “Eject.” - Mac OS Users
Drag the “BR-80” icon to the “Eject” (or "Trash") icon.
- Windows Users
- Disconnect the USB cable from the BR-80.
