Below is troubleshooting information if you're not able to load the factory data into the SPD-S:
- The CF card has not been formatted first in the SPD-S before transferring the factory folder.
- Make sure you have downloaded the "factory restore data file" from the Roland US website, and not the 1.20 "update" file.
- Be sure to copy [only] the unzipped "Factory" folder into the inside of the Roland folder on the CF card. If other files are included, the factory restore cannot be completed. Once the file is transferred, you should only see the Roland folder in the main CF card window.
- If a Factory folder already exists in the Roland folder on the CF card, be sure to delete it before transferring the Factory folder into the Roland folder on the CF card.
Note: The SPD-S can support CF card sizes up the 4GB only if version 1.20 is installed. If 1.20 is not installed, then it can support up to 512MB CF cards only.
