The following steps will guide you through activating Ad-Hoc Mode in the TD-30 so you can use the TD-30's wireless USB function.
Insert the wireless USB adapter into the TD-30 and then turn on the power.
Note: For the best performance and connection reliability, Roland recommends using Roland brand USB wireless adapters only (i.e. Roland WNA-1).
Access the wireless menu and turn on the Ad-Hoc switch in the TD-30:
1. Press SETUP.
2. Press F5 repeatedly to select the "C" menu.
3. Press F3 (WIRELESS).
4. F5(OPTION).
5. F2(AD-HOC).
6. Turn the dial to turn the switch "ON."
7. Turn off the TD-30's power, and then back on again with the USB wireless adapter connected.
After the TD-30 has rebooted, an AD-HOC Key Code will appear in the TD-30's wireless display. To access the wireless Key Code:
1. Press SETUP.
2. Press F5 to select the "C" tab.
3. Press F3(WIRELESS).
Enter the shown Key Code into your iPhone/iPad after clicking on the "TD-30" as the wifi device in your wifi settings.
If "The TD-30 is not Connected to the internet" appears, choose "Join Anyway."
The connection will be established.
If the connection does not establish, perform a full "slide-off" and reboot on the iPhone/ iPad.
To reduce interference which may cause connectivity problems, it is recommended to turn off any other bluetooth or wifi devices you may have near the TD-30 (Wifi router, Wireless security cameras, etc.).
