The following are potential causes for the VE-22 not powering on, even after the [POWER] switch on the rear panel has been switched to the ON position.
The batteries may be running low
Replace the batteries with new ones (Alkaline battery (AA, LR6) x 4).

An unspecified AC adaptor is used
The BOSS PSA series can be used with the VE-22. Never use any other AC adaptor as it may cause a malfunction.
The VE-22 consumes 260 mA when phantom power is enabled and 180 mA when phantom power is disabled. To ensure stable operation when using phantom power for a microphone, be sure to use a PSA-S series power supply with 500 mA of output current.
