When you set FUNCTION to “BPM TAP”, you can set the DELAY TIME parameter for DELAY to use the tempo at which you tap the [HARMONY] pedal.
Follow the steps below:
- Press the [MENU] button.
The MENU screen appears. - Turn the [MEMORY] knob to select the “MEMORY PEDAL” row.
All items in the selected row are underlined. - Press the [HARMONY] knob.
The MEMORY PEDAL screen appears. - Use the [HARMONY] knob to select "BPM TAP".
- Press the [EXIT] button several times to return to the play screen.
- Press the [ECHO] knob twice.
The ECHO edit screen appears. - Use the [HARMONY] knob to turn the switch “ON”, and the [EFFECT] knob to set the TYPE to “DELAY”.
- Turn the [MEMORY] knob to show DLY TIME.
- Turn the [EFFECT] knob to set DLY TIME above 2000ms.
This allows you to select BEAT/RHYTHM values such as:
32nd Note/ 16th Note3 Triplet/ Dotted 32nd Note / 16th Note / Eighth Note3 Triplet / Dotted 16th Note / Eighth Note / Quarter Note3 Triplet / Dotted Eight Note / Quarter Note / Half Note Triplet / Dotted Quarter Note / Half Note / Whole Note3 Triplet / Dotted Half Note / Whole Note / Dotted Whole Note / Double Whole Note Triplet.
Hold down [MENU] while turning the knob to adjust in steps of 10.
Example: setting DLY TIME to half notes - To save the settings, press the [EXIT] and [MENU] buttons at the same time.
- Press the [HARMONY] pedal several times in quarter-note intervals (tap input).
The HARMONY pedal indicator starts blinking at the tempo you tapped.- When you set DLY TIME to a half-note interval, the delay time becomes twice as long as the tap input time, and the delay sounds at an interval that’s twice as long as the interval at which the [HARMONY] pedal indicator blinks.
- When you set DLY TIME to an eighth-note interval, the delay time becomes half as long as the tap input time, and the delay sounds at an interval that’s half as long as the interval at which the [HARMONY] pedal indicator blinks.
