The “HOTKEY” function of the BRIDEGE CAST X allows you to execute an action easily by pressing the pad just once to, instead of using keyboard shortcuts (a combination of key presses). If you set the same shortcut assigned to HOTKEY to the OBS hotkey, you can operate OBS from the CONTROL PAD on the BRIDGE CAST X.
Here is a sample setup to execute "Start streaming" in OBS by pressing the PAD 1 on the BRIDGE CAST X.
Required Devices and Cables
- BRIDGE CAST X (dedicated USB driver must be installed)
- AC adaptor (5 V/3 A or 9 V/3 A)
- BRIDGE CAST app
- Computer
- Streaming app (OBS)
Settings in the BRIDGE CAST app
- Install BRIDGE CAST X driver and BRIDGE CAST app on your computers.

- From the menu screen, click the “CONTROL PAD” tab.
- Set COMMAND to “HOTKEY”.
- Click “Click to Assign” for OPTION 1.
- When “Scanning KEY Stroke...” is shown, use the keyboard to input a shortcut key.
Example: Ctrl + Shift + A - Check whether the key combination you inputted (Ctrl + Shift + A) is shown for OPTION 1.
Settings in OBS
- Start OBS.
- Go to Settings, then click the Hotkeys on the left.
- Type "Ctrl + Shift + A" in the box for the "Start streaming" function.
This allows you to initiate streaming on OBS by pressing PAD 1 on the BRIDGE CAST X.
