By installing the dedicated driver and configuring the audio output settings on your computer, you can apply the VE-22 effects to the sound played back on your computer.
Installing the dedicated driver
- Go to BOSS - VE-22 | Vocal Performer and download the driver that corresponds to your operating system.
- Install the driver following the instructions.
- Press the [MENU] button.
- Turn the [MEMORY] knob to select the “USB” row.
- Press the [HARMONY] knob.
- Use the [HARMONY] knob to set MODE to "VENDOR".
- Connect the VE-22 to your computer using a USB cable that supports data transmission.
Audio output settings on your computer
Windows:
- Open the Playback tab in the Sound settings.
- Select "INPUT - VE-22" and click [Set Default].
When playing back audio on a DAW that supports multiple outputs, set the VE-22 as the output device and select "INPUT + INPUT" or "3, 4" for the track output. Note that the presentation of the setting values may vary depending on the DAW.
Mac:
- Import the audio file you want to play back into a DAW that supports multiple outputs.
- Set the output channel of the playback track to "3, 4" of the VE-22.
