The RD-08 is equipped with two different USB ports on the rear panel.
Each serves a specific purpose as described below:
USB FOR UPDATE port
You can connect a USB flash drive here.
- Never turn off the power or remove the USB flash drives while the screen indicates “Executing...”.
- Use a commercially available USB flash drive. However, we cannot guarantee operation with all commercially available flash drives.
- Before using a USB flash drive for the first time with the RD-08, you must format the USB flash drive.
USB COMPUTER port
You can connect this to your computer so that it can exchange performance data with the RD-08.
- Do not use a USB cable that is designed only for charging a device. Charge-only cables cannot transmit data.
- To use the USB audio functionality, you need to install the RD-08 Upgrade and the dedicated USB driver. For details on how to install the RD-08 Upgrade, see the instruction that comes with the Upgrade itself.
