You can connect your computer to the USB COMPUTER port so that it can exchange performance data with the RD-08.
USB MIDI
Connect the RD-08 to your computer via USB and select the RD-08 as the USB MIDI device in your DAW.
- The parameters related to MIDI can be set in SYSTEM (MENU > SYSTEM > MIDI). For details, see "RD-08 Parameter Guide".
- You can also send MIDI messages (Program Change/Bank Select) from a DAW to switch scenes and tones. See "Tone List" for MSB/LSB/PC of each scene/tone.
USB AUDIO
This function requires the installation of RD-08 Upgrade on the RD-08 unit and a dedicated driver on your computer.
- You can purchase the RD-08 Upgrade through Roland Cloud Manager. See "RD-08 upgrading and added features" for details on installation.
- The following parameters for USB AUDIO can be set in SYSTEM (MENU > SYSTEM > USB AUDIO). See "RD-08 Parameter Guide" for details.
