You can restore the GO:KEYS 5 and GO:KEYS 3 to their default settings by performing a factory reset.
Warning: A factory reset erases all user data saved on the instrument, including scenes, chord patterns, and songs.
Note: To keep the current settings, use the backup function before performing a factory reset. See "Backing up settings to a USB flash drive (Backup)" in the GO:KEYS 5 / GO:KEYS:3 Reference Manual.
Follow the steps below:
- Press the [menu] button.
The Menu screen appears. - Use the cursor [<] [>] buttons to select “Utility”, and press the [enter] button.
The Utility Menu screen appears. - Select “Fact Reset” and press the [enter] button.
The Factory Reset screen appears. -
Press the [f1] (USER) button, [f2] (SYS) button or the [f3] (LCNS) button to select the check box for the operation you want to execute.
Press the same button again to deselect the check box.Operation Explanation Reset User Data Initializes all scenes, user tones, user drum kits, user styles, user chord patterns and MIDI songs. Reset System Data Initializes the system settings, the mixer audio level and the favorite tones. Remove License Initializes the user license.
Initializing the user license lets you import/install sound contents that were downloaded with a different user license.
When you execute this operation, all Style Packs (the styles saved to the user bank) and Wave Expansions that have been imported and installed are deleted.NOTE:
Deselect the checkboxes of the settings and data that you want to keep.
If you haven’t installed a user license yet, the Remove License check box is not shown. - Press the [f4] (EXECUTE) button.
A confirmation message appears. - Use the cursor [<] [>] buttons to select “OK”, and press the [enter] button.
If you decide to cancel, select “Cancel” and press the [enter] button.
When the factory reset operation is finished, “Power Off, Then On.” is shown on the screen. - Turn the GO:KEYS 5 or GO:KEYS 3 off, then on again.
