The Patterns in TD-20's Sequencer include six Parts:
- Drum Kit Part (For drum pad recordings)
- Melody
- Bass
- Backing 1
- Backing 2
- Percussion
You can adjust the volume of each Part individually within the Pattern. Here's how:
- Press the [PATTERN] button.
- Turn the VALUE dial to select a desired Pattern.
- Press [F2] (PART). The “PATTERN PART” screen appears.
- Press [F4] (MIXER). The “PART VOLUME,” “PART PAN,” “PART REVERB SEND LEVEL,” or “PART CHORUS SEND LEVEL” screen appears.
- Press [F1] (VOLUME).
- Press the [CURSOR] left or right button to select the Part you wish to set.
- Turn the VALUE dial to adjust the Part volume (0-127).

Tip: The volume of the instruments within the Percussion Part can be adjusted individually as well. See the section “Making the Settings for Each Percussion Instrument” on page 56 in the TD-20 Owner's Manual for more information.
