When you cannot produce a synth sound or normal pickup sound with the GM-800 while playing a guitar or bass equipped with the GK5-KIT-G7, GK5-KIT-G6, or GK5-KIT-B, check the following points:

System Program Version of GM-800: Ensure that the system program version of your GM-800 is at least 1.10 or later. Versions 1.10 and later include support for the GK5-KIT-G7, GK5-KIT-G6, and GK5-KIT-B. To check the current version, turn off the GM-800, then hold down the [EXIT] button and turn the power on.
*Keep pressing the [EXIT] button until the GM-800 logo appears. If you see a version earlier than 1.10, please update your GM-800's System Programs to the latest version. https://www.boss.info/global/products/gm-800/downloads/

GK TYPE: If the system program of the GM-800 is version 1.10 or later, please check the GK TYPE in the GK Settings.
- Press the [MENU] button.
- Press the PAGE [<] [>] buttons to display “GK SETTING”.
- Press the [3] knob.
The GK SETTINGS screen appears. - Turn the [SELECT] knob to move the cursor to the first line.
- Turn the [1] knob to select the desired set.
- Turn the [SELECT] knob to move the cursor to the second line.
- Turn the [1] knob to select "GK5KIT-6", "GK5KIT-7", or "GK5KIT-B".

Output Mode: When the Output Mode is set to "STEREO", the normal pickup sound is not output.
- Press the [MENU] button.
- Press the PAGE [<] [>] buttons to display “IN/OUT SETTING”.
- Press the [4] knob.
The IN/OUT SETTINGS screen appears. - Turn the [SELECT] knob to move the cursor to “OUTPUT SELECT”.
- Turn the [2] knob to select "SYN/NORM" or "NORM MIX" for the Output Mode.
- SYN/NORM: Outputs the synth sound from the L/PHONES jack and the normal pickup sound from the R/MONO jack. (In this case, the synth sound is monaural.)
- NORM MIX: The synth (stereo output) and normal pickup sounds are mixed and output.
