The “HOTKEY” function of the BRIDGE CAST ONE allows you to execute an action easily instead of using keyboard shortcuts (which are combinations of key presses). If you set the same shortcut assigned to HOTKEY to the Discord hotkey, you can operate Discord from the MUTE/ASSIGN [MIC] [CHAT] [GAME] buttons on the BRIDGE CAST ONE.
Here is a sample setup to turn the mic ON/OFF (MUTE) in Discord by pressing the MUTE/ASSIGN [MIC] button of your BRIDGE CAST ONE.
Required Devices and Cables
- BRIDGE CAST ONE (dedicated USB driver must be installed)
- BRIDGE CAST App
- Computer
- Messaging app (Discord)
Settings in the BRIDGE CAST app
- Start the BRIDGE CAST app.
- From the menu screen, click the “HOME” tab.
- Select "HOT KEY" for the MUTE/ASSIGN [MIC] button function.
“Click to Assign” is shown. - Click “Click to Assign”.
- When “Scanning KEY Stroke...” is shown, use the keyboard to input a shortcut key.
Example: Ctrl + Shift + M - Check whether the key combination you inputted (Ctrl + Shift + M) is shown under HOTKEY.
Settings in Discord
- Start Discord.
- Click the gear icon to access the User Settings, then click "Keybinds" under APP SETTINGS on the left.
- Click the <Add Keybind> button
- Select "Toggle Mute" from the pulldown list of ACTION.
- Click "Record Keybind", then press the [CTRL + SHIFT + M] keys.
This allows you to turn the mic ON/OFF (MUTE) in Discord by pressing the MUTE/ASSIGN [MIC] button. - Click "× (ESC)" to return to the previous screen.
