The TD-07 module supports 2-channel streaming audio and MIDI to the computer via its USB port. For this functionality, the TD-07 drivers must installed in your computer, and the USB Mode in the TD-07 must be set to "VENDOR" from its default - (which is "GENERIC"). Here are Steps and information for proper setup:
First, download and install the appropriate USB drivers. For Mac OS, drivers can be found on the TD-07's downloads page here: TD-07 Drivers
Installation instructions are included within the download.
*** Take note of the Mac OS troubleshooting informational link on each downloads page, as Mac OS 10.13 thru current OS versions may block the installation of drivers in the background. You may need to "approve" that the drivers can be installed in the Security and Privacy section in your Mac.
For Windows 10/11, drivers will be downloaded and installed automatically once you have changed the TD-07's USB Mode to Vendor, connect the TD-07 via USB to your PC, and have an internet connection established. (Note - there is no physical driver file to download and install for Windows 10/11).
Here's how to set the TD-07's USB Mode to "VENDOR."
- Press the [
] SETUP button on the TD-07.
- Cursor right to select "SYSTEM," and then press [
] ENTER.
- Cursor right to select "USBDrv."
- Turn the main dial clockwise to choose "VENDOR."
To save the new setting, press the power switch on the TD-07 to turn off the power, and then power back on again. - After installing the drivers and switching the TD-07's USB Mode to VENDOR, connect the USB port on the TD-07 to your computer, then select it as an audio and/or MIDI device within your software.
