In the GX-10, three memories grouped together are called a "bank." There are 33 preset banks and 66 user banks, which can be changed using the onboard switches or external switches.
To use the onboard switches
- Press the [MENU] button.
- Touch <CONTROL MODE> on the screen.
- Touch <BANK/NUM>.
- Press the [EXIT] button twice to return to the play screen.
The change is saved automatically. - To increment the bank number: Simultaneously press the [▲] and [C1] switches.
To decrement the bank number: Simultaneously press the [▼] and [▲] switches.
To use an external footswitch (BOSS FS-5U, FS-6, or FS-7)
- Connect a footswitch to the CTL 2,3/EXP 2 jack.
See "Connecting external pedals" in the Reference Manual for details on how to connect and set the polarity switch. - Press the [MENU] button.
- Touch <CTL/EXP>.
- Touch <CONTROL FUNCTION>.
- Press the PAGE [>] button to show the following page.
- Turn the SELECT knob to highlight the row where "PREF" for CTL 2 and CTL 3 is located.
- Turn the [3] and [4] knobs to set the value to "SYSTEM".
* The same settings will be shared by all memories. - Turn the [SELECT] knob to highlight the top row.
- Use the [3] and [4] knobs to select "BANK ▼", "BANK ▲" for the CTL 2 and CTL 3 function.

Note: This can’t be selected with the “CUR NUM” setting, when in up/down mode or in manual mode with the ▼ and ▲ switches. - Press the [EXIT] button three times to return to the previous screen.
