The GX-10 supports re-amping, which allows you to record a clean (dry) guitar signal first and apply effects later. This provides flexibility and efficiency, saving time, enabling tone adjustments without re-recording, and allowing you to experiment with different effects or amp settings.
Follow the steps below to set it up.
- Install the dedicated USB driver on your computer (Windows or Mac).
https://www.boss.info/global/support/by_product/gx-10/updates_drivers/ - Set the USB DRIVER mode of the GX-10 to “VENDOR”.
- Connect the GX-10 to your computer via USB.

- Set the output of the recorded track to "GX-10 DRY" (or "3, 4" on Mac).
- Prepare a new audio track by setting its input to "GX-10 MAIN" (or "1, 2" on Mac) to record the wet sound.
- Start playback of the dry sound and simultaneously record the effect-applied sound on the new track.
