To select kits in the TM-2 via MIDI, you will use standard Program Change (PC) messages for selecting kits.
The following messages are used to select the 99 Kits:

You must transmit these messages on the MIDI Ch (MIDI Channel) that is selected in the TM-2. Furthermore, the PrgChg Rx parameter must be set to ON for the TM-2 to process incoming program change messages. You can change or view these parameters with the following procedure:
- Press and hold the SHIFT button, and then press the INST button.
- Press the right arrow button (>) once to select "SYSTEM,' and then press + (ENTER).
- Press (>) repeatedly until "MIDI Ch" appears in the display.
- Press the + or - buttons to select the desired channel (OFF, 1-16).
- Press the INST button.
- Press (>) until "PrgChg Rx" appears in the display.
- Press the + button to select ON.
- Press the INST button twice when you're finished. The new setting is saved automatically.
