Most all current Roland pads/triggers are compatible with the TM-6PRO. For optimum trigger results, it's best to match the Trigger Type with the type of pad/trigger that's connected. Doing so optimizes the sensitivity settings and trigger efficiency for the pad/trigger. Here's how to specify the Trigger Type:

- Press the [TRIG] button.
- Use the cursor buttons to select "BANK," and then press the [ENTER] button.
The TRIGGER BANK screen appears.- H&R: When connecting one drum trigger to one TRIGGER IN jack (normal setting). The head and the rim share the same trigger type. Also, the trigger type is shown as
for the rim.
- PADx2: When connecting two drum triggers to one TRIGGER IN jack. Specify the trigger type for the head and for the rim.
Button Explanation [F2] (THRESHOLD) button Moves to a screen for adjusting the drum trigger's minimum sensitivity. [F3] (NAME) button Edits the name of the trigger bank.

- Move the cursor to the trigger bank number, and use the [–] [+] button to select a trigger bank. (1-8).
- Hit the connected pad/trigger to select the input.
- You can also use the cursor up/down buttons to highlight/select the desired input. - Press the [-] [+] buttons to specify the trigger Type.
- Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for any other pads/triggers as desired.
- Press the [EXIT] button twice to return to the KIT screen.
The new settings are saved automatically.
