Depending on how you've mounted the GK pickup on your guitar, whether in a standard or reversed orientation as often required for left-handed guitars, you need to adjust the Pickup (PU) Direction parameter so the VG-800 can function properly.
Note: NORMAL (as shown below) the GK pickup cable lead will come from the top of the bride / bass side; while the REVERSE (as shown below) the GK pickup cable lead will come from the bottom of the bridge/ treble side.
Here's how to make your customized adjustments:
- Press the [MENU] button.
The MENU screen appears. - If “GK SETTINGS” is not shown in the MENU, use the [◀] [▶] buttons to switch pages.
- Press the [2] knob.
- Turn the [SELECT] knob to move the cursor to the second line.
- Turn the [4] knob to select the pickup direction:
NORMAL In this mode, the cable comes out from the sixth-string side. (GUITAR MODE)
In this mode, the cable comes out from the bridge side. (BASS MODE)
REVERSE In this mode, the cable comes out from the first-string side. (GUITAR MODE)
In this mode, the cable comes out from the neck side. (BASS MODE)
- Press the [EXIT] button a number of times to return to the play screen. The new setting is saved automatically.
