GT-1: EASY EDIT

EASY EDIT uses the GT-1 PRESET or USER PATCHES and a convenient quick interface for easily selecting or creating USER patch sounds. These EASY EDIT menu is separate and different from the USER PATCH range and parameter settings and sounds that are more detailed, and more involved custom programming.

- The user may choose a USER PATCH by GENRE.

1. Press [EASY SELECT] button.
2. Use the [1] knob to select GENRE as search method (SORT TYPE).
   
3. Use the [2] knob to select a genre.
4. Use the [3] knob to select the USER PATCH allowed, then press the [SELECT] button again to load the chosen USER PATCH associated to the music genre.

- Customizing a PRESET or USER PATCH

1. Use the normal patch display, use the [1] knob to first choose a PATCH.
2. Press the [EASY EDIT] button.
   The EASY EDIT screen appears.
   
3. Use the [1] - [3] knobs to adjust TONE, VIBES and ECHO parameters, then press [ENTER] button to load the USER PATCH with EASY EDIT changes.
   If you want a more limited variation try leaving one or two categories the same, this will help integrate some of the USER PATCH parameters or effects with the EASY EDIT options. Click HERE to see the example settings.

4. To save these changes, use the WRITE/save option.
   See "How do I save changes after editing a patch?" for details.

Note: The user will be forced to WRITE/save to the USER PATCH range and to a USER PATCH even if editing a PRESET PATCH. The PRESET PATCH range patches can be edited, however can't be overwritten, changed, or deleted. So if you're going to modify a patch with EASY EDIT, we suggest starting with a USER PATCH which are identical to the PRESET PATCHES by default.

Example 1:

1. Choose, U20 Smoke On The Water
2. Press the [EASY EDIT] button, use the [1] - [3] knobs to adjust:
   
   1. TONE: ---
   2. VIBES: 01 
   3. ECHO: 19
3. Press the [ENTER] button to load derivative USER PATCH.

Example 2:

1. Choose, U21 Highway Star
2. Press the [EASY EDIT] button, use the [1] - [3] knobs to adjust:
   1. TONE: 12
   2. VIBES: ---
   3. ECHO: 19
3. Press the [ENTER] button to load derivative USER PATCH.
