For any device using BOSS TONE STUDIO EDITOR and connected to a WINDOWS 10 computer system. If you've updated to WINDOWS Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134, you may receive a CONNECTION FAILURE message from BOSS TONE STUDIOS.
NOTE: Below is an example connecting BOSS TONE STUDIO with KATANA AMP.

If you've had a successful connection before the UPDATE then please check and change the MIC PRIVACY settings if necessary and set to ALLOW APPS TO ACCESS YOUR MICROPHONE: ON.

How to control which apps can use the microphone
- Go to Start , then select Settings > Privacy > Microphone.
- Choose your preferred setting for Allow apps to access your microphone.
- Under Choose which apps can access your microphone, turn on or off the individual settings for apps and services.

Once MIC PRIVACY has been changed, reconnect a USB 2.0 CABLE to the ROLAND BOSS device and to the WINDOWS 10 COMPUTER, restart the BOSS TONE STUDIO Software Editor Application and choose the correct device first in the list and press OK, this should alleviate the CONNECTION FAILURE.
