USB DEVICE DRIVER ISSUE: MAC OS 10.13 HIGH SIERRA & 10.14 MOJAVE SECURITY & PRIVACY DRIVER BLOCK
NOTE for MAC OS 10.13 HIGH SIERRA and 10.14 MOJAVE USERS:
Before installing the ROLAND BOSS DEVICE DRIVER,
CONNECT via USB with the ROLAND BOSS DEVICE powered ON.
OS 10.13 HIGH SIERRA & 10.14 MOJAVE use a SECURITY PROTOCOL that BLOCKS THIRD PARTY
DEVICE DRIVER INSTALLATION, make sure to "ALLOW" for the ROLAND BOSS DEVICE DRIVER
installation loading and function.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER DRIVER INSTALLATION on MAC OS X 10.13/10.14:
Have the ROLAND BOSS DEVICE with the latest SYSTEM PROGRAM VERSION FIRMWARE
connected via USB 2.0 and POWERED ON.
Double Click the downloaded DEVICE_USB DRIVER INSTALLER .PKG and follow prompts to install
the USB DEVICE DRIVER (REMINDER: HAVE YOUR DEVICE POWERED ON and CONNECTED via
USB before executing the DRIVER INSTALL).
CLICK INSTALL to execute the DRIVER installation and immediately go to the:
APPLE ICON - SYSTEM PREFERENCES - SECURITY & PRIVACY menu and CLICK the
ALLOW button for the ROLAND BOSS DRIVER INSTALL.
UNLOCK in the lower LEFT CORNER to make changes using your USER PASSWORD may be
necessary.
Once ALLOWED for INSTALL, a window and message confirmation with GREEN CHECK MARK and
choice for RESTART. Press button to RESTART computer.
The ROLAND BOSS DEVICE DRIVER should be properly INSTALLED for the DEVICE.
Check UTILITIES - AUDIO MIDI SETUP to check if the USB DEVICE DRIVER is properly installed
and DEVICE is recognized. If not the ROLAND BOSS DEVICE is not recognized, please try again.
You'll need to UNINSTALL the DEVICE DRIVER and try again with the same process or try
using a different USB 2.0 Cable and USB port.
