KATANA-AIR: How To Bluetooth Pair KATANA-AIR AUDIO / KATANA-AIR MIDI and Connect 2.4GHz Wireless
The BOSS KATANA-AIR amp is capable of allowing for BT/Bluetooth KATANA-AIR AUDIO streaming signal playback of a mobile device audio, while simultaneously allowing for Bluetooth KATANA-AIR MIDI BTS for KATANA-AIR software editor functionality and wireless 2.4 GHz guitar output audio signal for live performance jam along with backing tracks.
- Three connections must be established for full KATANA-AIR functionality with mobile device and instrument for usage and performance:
1. BT KATANA-AIR AUDIO connection for mobile device BT audio streaming for backing tracks.
2. BT KATNAA-AIR MIDI connection for mobile device BT MIDI connectivity for BTS for KATANA-AIR software editor mobile app.
3. 2.4 GHz wireless instrument output signal using the WL-T transmitter to KATANA-AIR amp.
BT KATANA-AIR AUDIO CONNECTION
First UNPAIR or forget any BT connections and instances of KATANA-AUDIO and KATANA-AIR MIDI on the MOBILE DEVICE BLUETOOTH SETTINGS MENU. Close the BOSS TONE STUDIO KATANA-AIR APP.
Recycle power on the KATANA-AIR, press and hold POWER button to POWER OFF, then press and hold to POWER ON.
Long press the BLUETOOTH button so the BLUE LED is blinking rapidly for BT PAIRING detection.
On the MOBILE DEVICE navigate to the device's BLUETOOTH SETTINGS menu and select KATANA-AIR AUDIO.
Once selected test audio connection by playing MOBILE DEVICE audio.
Increase MOBILE DEVICE volume and audio check and test confirmed connection BT AUDIO connection.
BT KATANA-AIR MIDI CONNECTION
On the MOBILE DEVICE, open the downloaded and installed BLUETOOTH BOSS TONE STUDIOS KATANA-AIR SOFTWARE EDITOR APP. Use the KATANA-AIR SOFTWARE EDITOR PAIRING and press BLUETOOTH MIDI DEVICE button.
Select KATANA-AIR MIDI from BLUETOOTH DEVICES, CONNECT: KATANA-AIR MIDI should appear after asterisk for connection appears (ANDROID), return back to CONNECTION screen using the back arrow (Android) or tap the background (iOS) and press the OK button and wait for connection.
2.4 GHz WIRELESS CONNECTION - PAIR WL-T TRANSMITTER to KATANA-AIR AMP
Use the fully charged WL-T Transmitter and connect to the KATANA-AIR dock, wait for 10 seconds for the system to select 1 of 14 channels of least wireless interference, then separate for usage. Good practice to always pair up the WL-T before each performance, as interference changes throughout the day depending upon environment.
Test and check the KATANA-AIR BT AUDIO playback with a mobile device, check the KATANA-MIDI BT MIDI app functionality on mobile device and test the WL-T wireless instrument output and wireless 2.4Ghz connection.
