MD-500: How do I perform a Factory Reset?

The BOSS MD-500 can be restored to its factory settings using the Factory Reset function.

Note: All edited settings will be lost. To back up data first, use the MIDI Bulk Dump function. See "Transmitting Data to an External MIDI Device" in the MD-500 Owner's Manual.

1. Press the [EDIT] button.
2. Use the [▲] [▼] buttons to select "FACTORY RESET", and then press the [EDIT] button.
3. Use "FROM" and "TO" to specify the range that you want to reset.
   For full system reset choose FROM: SYSTEM, TO: 99C
4. Press the [EDIT] button.
   A confirmation message appears.
5. ]Press the [EDIT] button to reset the settings.
   If you decide to cancel without resetting, press the [EXIT] button.
