If you have repeatedly imported and deleted User samples in the TM-6PRO, the sample memory may become fragmented which can reduce the actual total available memory and prevent additional files from being imported. Optimizing the memory can sometimes help with this.
Important notes about optimizing:
- Be sure to perform a backup of your TM-6PRO's settings to an SD card before optimizing the memory.
- Never turn off the power while the optimization is in progress. If you do so, the user samples might be lost.
- In some cases, optimizing may not produce results.
1. Turn on the TM-6PRO.
2. Press and hold the USER SAMPLE button.
3. Cursor right to highlight the UTIL icon.
4. Press ENTER.
5. Cursor down to highlight "Optimize," and then press ENTER.
6. Cursor right to highlight "OK."
7. Press ENTER. "Processing..." appears in the display. Optimization can sometimes take up to an hour depending on the number of samples that have been imported. Once completed, the TM6-PRO will return to the Sample Utility menu.
8. Press EXIT when you're finished.
A Factory Reset is usually recommended after optimizing.
