The GO:MIXER PRO allows to connect an external stereo 3.5mm (1/8") microphone for recording. The following will guide through the proper connections and settings.
Stereo Input Only
The GO:MIXER PRO can receive audio into the PLUG-IN MIC jack from stereo TRS microphones only. The GO:MIXER PRO is not compatible with TS or TRRS connectors. Check with the microphone manufacturer and be sure that the microphone is wired with a TRS connector. Here's an example of a TRS connector:
Plug-in Power
Certain microphones require 2.5 volts called "Plug-in Power" to operate. These can include lavalier and small hand-held microphones. The GO:MIXER PRO provides this automatically.
Check the microphone's documentation to see if more voltage is required to power the mic. If more is needed, this will need to be provided externally.
Adjusting The Volume
- Turn the MASTER LEVEL
completely counter-clockwise (off).
- Connect the GO:MIXER PRO to the phone using only the provided USB cable.
Note: 3rd party USB cables are not compatible. - Connect the stereo microphone to the PLUG-IN POWER jack.
- Lower the volume of any unused inputs on the GO:MIXER PRO (such as keyboards, guitar, etc).
- While talking or singing into the mic, slowly raise the PLUG-IN MIC knob
clockwise until the "PEAK" light on the GO:MIXER PRO illuminates only occasionally.
- Slowly raise the MASTER LEVEL
to hear the audio.
