The RD-2000 includes Roland's modeled organ complete with drawbar and percussion settings, allowing you to emulate classic drawbar organs. You can press the TONE DESIGNER button (or SHIFT + SCENE) to activate the 9 faders as drawbars on the RD-2000 when performing, but you may also want to be able to control these from an external MIDI device or sequencer. Each of the drawbar settings in the RD-2000 will respond to a standard MIDI Control Change message (CC). Here are the specific messages used:
16' = CC 102
5 1/3' = CC 103
8' = CC 104
4' = CC 105
2 2/3' = CC 106
2' = CC 107
1 3/5' = CC 108
1 1/3' = CC 109
1' = CC 110
Since the harmonic bars have 8 levels (plus off), there are 9 values that are used by the RD-2000:
Off = 0
1 = value of 16
2 = value of 32
3 = value of 48
4 = value of 64
5 = value of 80
6 = value of 96
7 = value of 112
8 = value of 127
The RD-2000 will also output these MIDI CC messages when using the harmonic bars in the keyboard, so you could also record these messages to a MIDI sequencer if desired.
