This is because the JUNO-106 and SH-101 do not have the concept of oscillator waveform selection; they are a type of synthesizer that lets you design the sound by adjusting the volume of (or turning on/off) PW (square wave / pulse wave), SAW (sawtooth wave), SUB OSC (sub oscillator), and NOISE (noise).
Use the following procedure to design the sound:
- Select JUNO-106 or SH-101. If you want to start editing from the simplest possible sound, use “TONE INITIALIZE” to initialize the tone.
- Press the [FUNCTION] button, and then use the [1]-[4] buttons to select the waveform that you want to adjust.
- [1]: PW (square wave / pulse wave)
- [2]: SAW (sawtooth wave)
- [3]: SUB OSC (sub oscillator)
- [4]: NOISE (noise)
- Use the OSC section’s [LEVEL] knob to adjust the volume (or turn it on/off).
