Yes.
If a pad that supports Strike Location Detection is connected to the following inputs, the sound will change according to the location at which you strike the pad.
One the dedicated connection cable bundle:
- SNR
- T1, T2, T3
- RDB
1/4" TRIGGER IN Input:
- AUX1, AUX2, AUX3
Perform following procedure.
- Refer to “Changing the Sound by the Pad Position You Strike (POSITION)” in the TD-27 Reference Manual.
- Press the [KIT EDIT] button.
- The KIT EDIT screen appears. - Press the[F5](OTHER) button.
- The KIT EDIT OTHER screen appears. - Use the cursor button to select “POSITION,” and then press the [ENTER] button.
- Press the [F1] (POSITION) button.
- POSITION CONTROL screen appears. - Strike the pad, or use the cursor buttons to select the pad that you want to edit.
- Turn the main dial to choose “ON.”

- If this is assigned to the same trigger input as a pad connected to the dedicated connection cable or to a TRIGGER IN jack, the sound of the pad connected to the TRIGGER INPUT jack and the TRIGGER IN jack is not output.
