It's possible to assign any of the instruments (or Samples) in the TD-27 to the pads. Here's how:
- Press the [DRUM KIT] button.
The DRUM KIT screen appears. - Turn the dial to select the drum kit that you want to edit.
- Press the [KIT EDIT] button.
The KIT EDIT screen appears. - Strike the pad that you want to edit.
To select the rim of a pad, strike the rim. - Press the cursor left button (if necessary) to highlight "INSTRUMENT."
- Press the [ENTER] button.
- Use the cursor buttons to highlight the instrument number value under "Inst."
If you press the function 5 (F5) button, "H & R" will not be highlighted, enabling independent assignment of the head and rim of the pad. Hit the head or rim to select the desired instrument for each. - Turn the dial to scroll through the TD-27's instruments and choose one as desired. (Note; User samples begin after instrument #728.
- When you're finished, press the Drum Kit button to exit. The new settings are saved automatically.
