If you perform a Mix or Wipe transition on your V-1HD, and it does not seem normal, it's possible you accidentally changed the Mix or Wipe Type with a shortcut that's enabled by default in the SETUP menu.
What happens is if you already have MIX or WIPE as the transition type selected, and you press that same MIX or WIPE button again, it cycles to the next Mix or Wipe type in the list of options, without having to change it in the MEMORY menu.

If you prefer the standard Mix dissolve and do not want to accidentally trigger this change again, you can disable it in the SETUP menu.
First, change the Mix or Wipe type back to the one you prefer.
Press the MEMORY button to open the MEMORY menu on the PREVIEW HDMI output.

Go to MIX or WIPE, and change the setting back to the default first option, or to the Mix or Wipe Type you prefer.

Finally, press and hold the (TAP)BPM button for 2 seconds to enter the SETUP menu.

Use the Transformer Down or CUT buttons to go down a few pages until you see Mix Type Change, and change the setting to OFF.
Now, when you double-press the MIX or WIPE buttons, the Type setting will not change.
Additionally, if you are not using any of the three transition types, you can disable the buttons in the Panel Lock settings to prevent accidentally selecting them.
For example, if you enable Panel Lock for the Wipe Button, pressing it will no longer do anything.
If you want the V-1HD to boot with the same settings every time, you need to enable the Memory Panel Load setting. Please see this article on configuring preset memories: V-1HD: How to Save and Recall Settings Using Preset Memories.
