On the Roland TD-17, an SD card can be used to back up the TD-17's settings, save songs to play or record with the song player, and import files with the user sample function.
- Before using an SD card for the first time, format it on the TD-17.
- Files for the song player (WAV, MP3) must be placed in the SD card's root folder.
Formatting the SD card on the TD-17 creates the folder structure shown below. When you export a recording, load an audio file for a user sample, or back up the TD-17 or a kit, save or place the file in the matching folder.
