NOTE:
- Be sure that the R-07 is running at it's latest version--as iPad connectivity was only available starting from System Program version 1.100. If there's any issues updating the R-07, the following article troubleshoots: R-07: SYMPTOM: Unable to Update the Operating System
- When using the R-07 as a USB audio interface, files inside the R-07 cannot be played back. Nor is it possible to record into the R-07.
Follow the steps below:
- If a USB cable is connected to the R-07, disconnect it.
- Press [MENU] to access the “Menu” screen, use [
] / [■] to select “USB Audio I/F,” and then press [●].
- Use [
] / [■] to move the cursor to “Sampling Rate”, and use [
] / [
] to change the sampling rate (44.1kHz / 48kHz).
- Use [
] / [■] to move the cursor to “Direct Monitor”, and use [
] / [
] to change the direct monitor to "ON".
- Turn on the power to the iPhone or iPad.
- Connect the R-07 to the iPhone or iPad with a USB cable and an Apple camera adapter.
Note that this requires a Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adapter sold separately by Apple.
After connecting, the following menu will appear on the R-07: - Use [
] / [■] to choose “Audio I/F (iOS),” and press [●].
The R-07 is now ready. Open the audio recording app on the iPhone or iPad to begin recording.
