To record your performance, use the following options.
- Recording to the internal memory or to an SD card
You can record to the internal memory of the unit (up to 3 minutes) without inserting an SD card into the TD-17. Whereas, when an SD card is inserted, you can record up to 60 minutes on the SD card.
- To save the recording data even if the power is turned off, you need to export it after recording regardless of the SD card being inserted during recording. Exported data is saved to the internal memory of the unit (when recording without an SD card) or to the "REC" folder on the SD card (when recording with an SD card).
- To copy songs recorded on the SD card (WAV format, 44.1 kHz/16-bit) to your computer, insert the SD card into your computer, then open the "REC" folder, and copy the desired files to the computer.
- Recording MIDI data with DAW software
You can record your performance as MIDI data to DAW software by connecting the TD-17's USB port to your PC/Mac. Select "TD-17 MIDI" for the input setting of the MIDI track you want to record to.
- The setting procedure may differ depending on the software. Refer to the instruction manual of the software you are using.
- Installing the TD-17 USB driver is not necessary for MIDI communication. - Recording audio with DAW software or waveform editing software
