Yes. The TD-17 supports both Bluetooth Audio and Bluetooth MIDI, and each works differently.
Note: Bluetooth functionality is not available on the TD-17-L and TD-17-L-based kits, including the TD-17K-L, TD-17K-L-S, and TD-17KV-L.
Bluetooth Audio:
Sends audio from your mobile device to the TD-17 only. This is one-way, from the mobile device to the TD-17, letting you mix music playback with your drum sound.
Bluetooth MIDI:
Sends and receives MIDI data between the TD-17 and your mobile device, letting you record your performance into a DAW app. Bluetooth MIDI may introduce latency; check your DAW app's settings to compensate for any timing delay.
