The Roland INTEGRA-7 needs the Roland USB driver installed on your computer so it can communicate as a MIDI and audio device. Set the driver mode on the INTEGRA-7 to VENDER (MIDI+AUDIO) and install the matching driver before connecting via USB. This enables:
- USB MIDI and USB audio: Play the INTEGRA-7's sound generator from DAW software, record MIDI keyboard performance data, and record/play back audio through the USB connection
- INTEGRA-7 Editor Ver.2: Edit INTEGRA-7 sounds from within your DAW (also requires a separate USB driver installed on your computer)
Step 1: Set the USB Driver mode on the INTEGRA-7
- Press the [MENU] button.
- Choose "SYSTEM" and press the [ENTER] button.
- Select the "SETUP" tab.
-
Set "USB Driver" to VENDER (MIDI+AUDIO).
Note: If you only need MIDI and do not need USB audio or Editor Ver.2, you can use GENERIC (MIDI only) mode instead, which uses your computer's built-in driver and does not require installing the Roland USB driver. - Choose “WRITE” and press the [ENTER] button to save the setting.
- Turn the unit off, then on again.
Step 2: Install the driver on your computer
- Download the driver matching your OS.

Note: On Windows 10 or 11, the driver installs automatically when you connect the INTEGRA-7 by USB. No manual installation is required. - Extract the downloaded file.
- Run the setup file (.pkg on Mac, setup.exe on Windows) and follow the on-screen instructions.
On Mac, the computer restarts automatically when installation finishes.
Step 3: Confirm the driver is working
Note: Use a USB cable that supports data transfer. Some USB cables are for charging only and cannot transfer data.
Connect the INTEGRA-7 to your computer by USB, then check:
- Windows: Open Device Manager and confirm INTEGRA-7 is listed under "Sound, video and game controllers."
- Mac: Open Audio MIDI Setup and confirm INTEGRA-7 appears in both the MIDI Studio window and the Audio Devices window.
