On the JUNO-DS61, JUNO-DS76, and JUNO-DS88, you need to install the USB driver on your computer for the following uses:
- Recording the audio output of the JUNO-DS into your computer's DAW software via USB
- Using the JUNO-DS as a DAW controller (DAW Control Mode)
- Using "JUNO-DS Tone Manager," Roland's software for managing and editing patches, performances, and samples
Note: JUNO-DS Tone Manager also requires JUNO-DS be updated to System Program version 2.00 or later.
To install the driver, first set the USB Driver on the JUNO-DS to "VENDOR":
- Press [MENU].
The MENU screen appears. - Move the cursor to "SYSTEM," and press the [ENTER] button.
- Use the [<] [>] buttons to select the "MIDI" tab.
- Move the cursor to "USB Driver" and use the value dial to select "VENDOR".
- Move the cursor to "WRITE," and press the [ENTER] button.
- Turn the power off, then on again.
