The following article troubleshoots in the event that there's an issue when using the R-07 as an audio interface for an iPad or iPhone.
Note: As of July 2020, the R-07's audio interface functionality is compatible with iOS 11 and iOS 12. Later iOS versions such as iOS 13 are not compatible.

R-07 VERSION UPDATE
- Be sure that the R-07 is running at it's latest version--as iPad connectivity was only available starting from version 1.100: https://www.roland.com/global/products/r-07/downloads/

APPLE CAMERA CONNECTION
- Due to low quality manufacturing, 3rd party camera connection kits may cause issues. We recommend using ONLY Apple brand camera connection kits.

USB CABLE
- Do not use a micro USB cable that is designed only for charging a device. Charge-only cables cannot transmit data. Check the documentation of the cable being used to be sure that the cable is not designed for charge-only.
- Try a different USB cable connecting the R-07 to the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit or Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adapter.

iPAD APP
- Be sure that the audio app being used is running at its own latest version. This may require deleting the app and then redownloading it from the app store.
- The iPad audio app being used must support CoreAUDIO. You may need to contact the app/software manufacturer for this information as well as instructions for setup and troubleshooting.

POWER
- Use only Alkaline (AA, LR6) or Rechargeable Ni-MH (AA, HR6) batteries. Lithium or any other type of battery is not compatible.
- If the problem continues, test with brand new, never before used Alkalines.
