By connecting the TD-17's USB Computer port to your computer via USB cable, you can send and receive two-channel (stereo) audio and MIDI.
- Installation of the USB driver is not necessary when sending and receiving MIDI only. When doing so, set the USB Driver Mode to “GENERIC,” (this is the default setting) and connect the TD-17 to your computer via USB. Then choose "TD-17 MIDI" within your DAW.
- In order to use the USB audio functionality, you must first install the USB driver , and then set the USB Driver Mode in the TD-17 to “VENDOR.”
To access the USB Driver Mode in the TD-17:
- Press SETUP.
- Press the down cursor button to highlight "USB" and then press ENTER.
- Cursor down to highlight "USB Driver Mode."
- Turn the dial to choose the desired setting (GENERIC, VENDOR).
- Once you have made the change, press the power button to turn off the power, and then power the TD-17 on again.
